Leon has been playing tennis at an intermediate social level since his early 20s and continues to enjoy the sport to this day. His passion for the game naturally evolved into coaching, where he takes pride in helping players improve their technique, strategy, and confidence on court.

He holds multiple certifications from the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia (LTAM) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF), including ITF Level 1 Part 1 (April 2013), ITF Level 1 Part 2 (August 2013), and LTAM ITF Tennis Malaysia Level 2 (December 2017).

Leon began his coaching journey in 2009 with the ACE Coaching Team under Head Coach Kenny Kuah at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.

Since 2012, he has been part of the OZTENNIS coaching team led by Head Coach Jason Scivetti, based at The Club by M, Bukit Utama, Petaling Jaya.

He primarily works with junior players, coaching the 8–11 age group (Young Guns) using green balls and the 12–15 age group (Junior Top Gun) using yellow regular balls. Leon’s coaching philosophy centers on a game-based approach that emphasizes tactical awareness, key positioning, and solid technical fundamentals to help young players build a strong foundation and love for the game.
